Notes

Good morning everyone,

We will take a break from the skill development packages for today, as we completed the package that I previously posted yesterday.

While attending PE classes under normal circumstances, I like to take one class per week and focus on yoga and mindfulness. A "Wellness Wednesday" of sorts. So, for today I will post a quick, easy, and fun yoga practice that has stretching and storytelling, followed by an easy mindfulness meditation practice.

Have a great day!

We will continue on with the recommended lessons from the soccer unit that we have been following along with. As with last week, if your student still needs work with the first 2 lesson series that I posted, they can continue on with those activities. I will post the 3 lesson from that series to work on if you feel that they are ready to progress on.

I have included an outline of the activities, descriptions of each activity, and a link to a video demonstration of the activities.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone,

Here are the recommended daily for today, as prescribed by the skill-related fitness package we have been following.

I have included an outline for the activities, a description of each activity, and a link to a video demonstration for each activity.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone,

As per the recommendations from the package that I posted last week, I am recommending that students focus on the same planned activities that were posted for "week 2" of the soccer package which I shared on Friday.

I am posting an outline of the activities, a description of each of the activities, as well as a link to a video demonstration for each of the activities.

I am also attaching an easy-to-use Activity Log. The log recommends that each student/family sets aside 60 min per day for physical activities. 30 min of that could be dedicated to the prescribed soccer activities for the day, and then the other 30 min could be dedicated to family forms of physical activities like walks, hikes, dances, yoga, or anything else you like to do together!

Use the log to keep track of the daily activities that you participate in!

Have a great day!

I have included an outline of the suggested activities, a description of each of the activities, as well as a link to a video demonstration for each of the activities.

Have a great day!

Good Morning everyone.

In keeping with the recommended activities outlined in the soccer package that I posted this week, we are going to continue on.

I will post the outlined activities for "week 2". If students are still struggling with some of the ball control concepts that were outlined in the "week 1" activities, they can continue on with those. If they seem to be progressing well, they can start trying the activities outlined for "week 2"

I have attached the outline for the activities for "week 2". If you wish to continue on with the week 1 activities you can refer back to my post from yesterday. Included today is an outline for the activities, descriptions of each activity, and a link to a video demonstration for each activity.

Have a great day!

Today's recommended activity is going to be a yoga flow. It's been a crazy couple of days, and it would be beneficial for you all to take a few minutes to relax yourselves and try to focus on your body awareness for a little while. I will post a recommended yoga flow, but if there is another one you like better, feel free to do the one you enjoy.

Good morning everyone,

This has been a stressful few days for everyone, especially the students. So, my recommended daily activity today is going to be a simple yoga practice, followed by a quick guided relaxation meditation. The yoga practice will increase the student's heart rates and focus themselves on their body sensations, and the guided relaxation will bring their heart rates back down, while focusing on their breathing and awareness. Hopefully, at the end of the 30 minutes your students will be a little bit more at ease, and a little more relaxed. The links included are for the youtube videos where the practices are found and can be easily played on a phone, laptop, smart tv, or any other connected device.
