Notes

Good morning everyone,

For today's recommended physical activity you can refer to "Day 4" of the weekly plan that is posted below. Again, these activities are all correlated with specific curricular outcomes and are age/grade appropriate. Outlined for each day is a warm-up activity, a guided practice activity, and then a game activity for extended learning. These activities are all designed to extend your fitness based knowledge.

If there are still activities from the "winter activity choice board" you haven't done or would like to repeat, you can complete that activity as well.

Also for today, if you have some other physical activity planned for today either individually or with your family, you can complete that as well. please be sure, though, to record your activity in your activity logs to be handed in when we return next week.

Have a great day! And stay warm!

Good morning everyone,

For today's recommended physical education activities you can refer to "Day 3" of the weekly plan that is posted below for your specific grade level. These are curricular-based activities that are simple and easy to set up at home. These activities are meant to extend your fitness based knowledge.

It's looking like an exceptionally cold day out there today, so if you would like a little more relaxing (and warmer) activity, I will post a quick and easy yoga practice that can be done inside today as well.

Another option, if you are looking for something a little less structured, is that you can complete two new lines on the "Fitness Bingo" card that was posted yesterday.

Whatever outlet for physical activity you choose for today, please be sure to record it in your activity log, which will be handed in when we return next week.

Good morning everyone,

For today's recommended physical education activities, you can refer to "Day 2" of the weekly plan which was posted yesterday, which I will re-post today. These are structured activities that relate directly to age-appropriate curricular outcomes.

If you are looking for something a little less structured, you can complete any of the activities presented in the "Winter Activity Board" which I will re-post again today as well.

For another option today, I will post another "Fitness Bingo" card with some fitness activities listed. You can complete the activities arranged in 2 different lines to achieve a bingo.

If you have other means of physical activity planned for today, either alone or with your family, please complete it and be sure to record your activity in your activity log, which will be handed in when we return next week (hopefully).

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone,

For this week I will post another weekly activity plan. This plan includes all of the activities and descriptions of each activity for each day of the week. All of these activities are derived from curricular outcomes, and can easily be completed at home. The theme for this week's activities is fitness knowledge. Last week you completed a number of different styles of workouts ranging from those testing your cardiovascular function, to muscular endurance activities. This week, you will complete similar activities, but will also gain a better understanding of how the activities relate to your overall physical fitness.

In addition to these activities, if you have other modes of physical activity planned either individually or with your family, you can complete those as well. Please be sure, though, to record all physical activity in your activity log to be handed in when you return next week.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone,

For this week, I will post another weekly activity guide, with specific activities and descriptions for each day that are correlated to curricular outcomes for each grade level.

Also, I will repost the winter activity board from last week. If there are still activities you would like to complete or repeat, you are more than welcome to do so.

Also, as always, if you have additional physical activity outlets planned for the day either by yourself or with your family, you can complete those as well! Please be sure to record all of your physical activity in your activity log to hand in when you return next week.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone,

For some structured curriculum-based fitness activities you can refer to "Day 5" of the weekly plan posted below. Again, these activities are great because they are designed with specific outcomes in mind, and each day has been representative of a specific type of physical fitness activity.

Also, if you enjoyed completing the "Fitness Bingo" activities, you can use the new card I have posted below. Try to complete the corresponding exercises on the card to complete two lines for a bingo.

As always, if you have some physical activity outlets planned either on your own or with your family, you can participate in that as well. Please be sure, though, to record your activities in your activity log, as I will be collecting those logs when students return to in-person learning. A large percentage of this semester's exploratory mark will be based on this most recent stretch of home learning, so it is important to keep track of your activities in your log, and to get that log in to me when we get back to in-person learning.

Good morning everyone,

For some structured curriculum-based fitness activities you can refer to "Day 5" of the weekly plan posted below. Again, these activities are great because they are designed with specific outcomes in mind. Be sure to use the weekly map that corresponds to your grade level.

Also, if you enjoyed completing the "Fitness Bingo" activities, you can use the card posted below to try and complete the activities to give you two new lines for a Bingo. Be sure to try new activities to form two new lines.

As always, if you have some physical activity outlets planned either on your own or with your family, you can participate in that as well. Please be sure, though, to record your activities in your activity log, as I will be collecting those logs when students return to in-person learning.

Good morning everyone,

For structured daily activities, you can refer to "Day 4" of the attached weekly plans. These activities are aligned with curricular outcomes and are suggested and recommended for students at these grade levels.

Also, I have attached another activity for your consideration. It is a fitness Bingo sheet filled with quick fitness activities that you can mix, match, and combine to give a quick and easy workout. For today, if you choose to complete this activity, try to complete the activities to complete two lines on the Bingo card.

As always, if you have other outlets of physical activity planned for today either on your own or with your family, you can participate in that as well. Please be sure, though, to record your activities in your activity log.

Good morning everyone,

You can refer to "Day 3" of the weekly plan posted on Monday for some structured at-home activities based on curricular outcomes. For today, though, I am recommending that you take some time to relax and center yourself with a quick stretching and yoga practice. This is a very stressful time for everyone, and a concentrated yoga practice is a great way to de-stress and set a more relaxed and focused tone for your day. I will posed a quick 26min yoga practice which is designed to melt away your stress, to continue on with a stress free day!

As always, if you have other forms of physical activity planned for today either individually or with your family, you are more that welcome to participate in that as well, please just be sure to record your activity in your activity log.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone,

For today, I wanted to offer another option for physical activity besides the winter activity board, as most of those activities require getting outside, and it's a chilly one out there today!

That said, today is a great day to relax and try to center yourself with a stretching or yoga practice. I will include links to some age-appropriate yoga practice videos that can easily be done inside with minimal space. All you need is a screen to be able to view the videos and the right mindset! This is a very stressful time for everybody, so taking some time out of the day for some active stress relief is a great way to start the day!

As always, though, if you have other outlets of physical activity already planned either individually or with your family you are more than welcome to participate in that, please just be sure to log your activities in your activity log.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone,

As always, you are welcome to participate in any kind of physical activity that you like, whether it be on your own or with your family. I will post a couple of structured options for the day, though, that are quick and will get your heart rates up with minimal equipment needed.

If you are looking for a structured plan for the day, you can refer to "day 2" of the weekly guide that I posted yesterday, which focuses on physical fitness through endurance.

If you are looking for an activity with a little individual competition and fun, I have also posted a new "Fitness Bingo" card for your use. I am asking that you complete any two lines on this card for a bingo win.

Please be sure to keep logging your daily activities in your activity log, as I will be collecting those when we return to in-person learning.

Have a great day!
