K- 2:
I'm attaching a link to a great "Ant-man" workout. This is a circuit style workout with a total of 9 exercises. I would suggest two rounds of the circuit for a good sweat, but you can do as much as you like.

Go outside and play! I've you haven't tried making your own obstacle course yet, give it a try! Be active in any way that you enjoy that gets your heart rate up!

Here are today's suggestions for your daily PE/Wellness activities. Today's theme is simply... DANCE!!
Dancing is a great way to get moving, increase your heart rate, and start to link simple fundamental movements into some more complex and advance movement chains. So today, all students from Kindergarten all the way to grade 9 are encouraged to cut loose and dance to 3 of their favorite songs! If you are looking for some inspiration I will include a link to the "Just Dance" youtube channel. They have tons of simple choreographed dances designed to get you moving! If dancing isn't "your thing" give yourself 10 or 15 minutes to quietly stretch and reflect.

I will include a link to another daily workout video. This workout is a circuit style with a 5 min warm-up, followed by 20 total exercises. Exercises are completed for 30 sec, followed by 30 sec of rest.

This is going to be a little bit different. I think the best way to do the Grade 9 material is going to be journal based. Daily, I will continue to post options for you folks to stay active, but at your age, you are all a little bit more aware of the physical activity that gets you going! You know what you like, and what you are able to do. So what I'm asking is for you to keep a daily physical activity journal. You can do it a couple of different ways. You can keep and electronic copy (word document) where you simple write a quick paragraph detailing the physical activity you completed that day. You should detail what you did, and how you felt before and after you completed your activity. (later I will post a 2 week journal outline). Another option is to create a new instagram page specifically for your activity journaling. You can make daily posts recapping your daily activities!
Again, I will post daily options, but the main thing is for you to get active everyday! Whether is a walk, a run, an at home workout, a daily yoga video, whatever you can do with regularily, DO IT!!
Today's options can be the above posted workout video (the guy is great!), or a 30 minute walk with your family!

I have attached a 2 week daily activity log to get you started as well.

Get outside and run 3-5 laps around your house! If you have snowshoes, go ahead and use them to make it a bit harder! If you can't get around your house, do some sprints to the end of your driveway and back to your house until you feel your heart rate rising!
Or....
Take part in a simple 10 minute guided mindfullness meditiation/relaxation session. I will post a link below to help guide you through, but if you have another way you like to calm yourself down or relax, feel free. These are stressful times, and keeping you anxiety down is more important than ever!
