Good morning everyone,
It's going to be a beautiful day, so I wanted to share this cool driveway game that was shared to our PE educators group. This is an adaptation to the classic game "4-Square", and only needs two people. This is a fun little activity no matter the age, and you can adapt the rules to suit your skill set (larger/smaller ball, larger/smaller play area, number of bounces to play, etc...). The video shows the game played on a paved driveway with chalk as the court, but if you don't have a paved driveway you can easily set up the court boundaries with pylons, skipping ropes, or any thing else you might have to use as a marker.
I recommend playing games to 11 or 15 points to try and encourage good rallies, and enough activity in the game to get your heart rate up.
Enjoy, and have a great day folks!

Just a reminder that i have set up a microsoft office Team group for our Grade 9 PE class. If you access your school email you will have received a invitation to join the group from me. I have posted the same material from my teacher page on there, as well as a simple weekly assignment on there as well. If you haven't already, please go and join the group and give me some sort of feedback that you are in there.
Thanks!

Here is the suggested daily activity for middle school and grade 9 students. As always, this suggested activity can be replaced with any indoor or outdoor activity of your choosing, as long as it is increasing your heart rate! Today is Earth Day, so I am also recommending you take some additional time outside today to connect with nature. Go for a hike, climb a tree, pick up some garbage out of this ditch, anything that gives you a little appreciation for nature!
Today's suggested workout is called the "Heidi Hero" workout. It is 6 exercises that you complete 23 reps of each time. Your goal is to complete the circuit of exercises as many times as possible in 23 minutes. Take breaks between exercises as you see fit, but try and get as many sets as you can!
Have a great day everyone!
