Also, if you enjoy completing the "Fitness Bingo" activities, you can use the card posted below to try and complete the activities to give you two new lines for a Bingo.

 

As always, if you have some physical activity outlets planned either on your own or with your family, you can participate in that as well. Please be sure, though, to record your activities in your activity log.

Also, I have attached another activity for your consideration. It is a fitness Bingo sheet filled with quick fitness activities that you can mix, match, and combine to give a quick and easy workout. For today, if you choose to complete this activity, try to complete the activities to complete two lines on the Bingo card.

 

As always, if you have other outlets of physical activity planned for today either on your own or with your family, you can participate in that as well. Please be sure, though, to record your activities in your activity log.

Good morning everyone,

 

You can refer to "Day 3" of the weekly plan posted on Monday for some structured at-home activities based on curricular outcomes. For today, though, I am recommending that you take some time to relax and center yourself with a quick stretching and yoga practice. This is a very stressful time for everyone, and a concentrated yoga practice is a great way to de-stress and set a more relaxed and focused tone for your day. I will posed a quick 26min yoga practice which is designed to melt away your stress, to continue on with a stress free day!

Good morning everyone, 

 

For today, I wanted to offer another option for physical activity besides the winter activity board, as most of those activities require getting outside, and it's a chilly one out there today!

 

That said, today is a great day to relax and try to center yourself with a stretching or yoga practice. I will include links to some age-appropriate yoga practice videos that can easily be done inside with minimal space. All you need is a screen to be able to view the videos and the right mindset! This is a very stressful time for everybody, so taking some time out of the day for some active stress relief is a great way to start the day!

 

As always, though, if you have other outlets of physical activity already planned either individually or with your family you are more than welcome to participate in that, please just be sure to log your activities in your activity log.

If you are looking for a structured plan for the day, you can refer to "day 2" of the weekly guide that I posted yesterday, which focuses on physical fitness through endurance.

 

If you are looking for an activity with a little individual competition and fun, I have also posted a new "Fitness Bingo" card for your use. I am asking that you complete any two lines on this card for a bingo win.

For today, you can choose any activity that you haven't completed yet from the winter activity board posted last week. I will be posting a new activity board with some different activities next week, so if there are activities on this one you would like to try, now is the time!

Today will be the last official day for the Quinzee building challenge. Of course, if you would like to work on or complete your quinzee after today, that's perfectly ok. I recommend finishing them up today, though, because we have a little bit of snow and rain coming this evening. That snow and rain on top of a completed quinzee added with the temperature dropping again tomorrow night will give you a very solid outer structure. 

As always, if you plan to do some physical activity on your own, or with your family that is fine as well, just be sure to log your activity.

If you are looking for a more structured plan for the week I will also attach an at-home fitness plan for the week with some simple activities that can be done with minimal equipment. Each day is going to represent a different type of physical fitness activity from cardiovascular fitness, to muscular endurance and aerobic fitness. The package includes all the resources you will need for that activities.

If you have completed your quinzee already or would like another activity to complete, you can choose any activity from the winter activity board posted last week, which I will link again today. If it is too cold for you outside today, I recommend the "Tabata" workout from the activity board. It is a quick and easy workout that will get your heart rate up!

 

Also, if you are looking for more organized and curriculum-based activities, I am also attaching another weekly activity guide. All of the activities in this guide are based on specific outcomes, and are easy to set up and complete at home! If you have any issues with setup, or want some advice on facilitating the activities, please send me a message at matthew.sturgeon@nbed.nb.ca and I will help you out as best I can!

Good morning everyone,

 

For today, you can choose any activity from the winter activity board posted earlier this week if you like, but I would like you to focus your time on the quinzee building challenge that I issued yesterday. It is calling for some more snow this evening, so I will extend the challenge until Monday, give you the weekend to get your quinzee in tip-top shape! Also, make sure you are continuing to log your activities in the two-week activity log posted yesterday.

 

Don't forget to post your finished product on any social media platform using the hashtag #BHSQuinzeeChallange!
