K-2 Activities:
Batman workout - I will attach a link to a simple "Batman" themed workout that can be done anywhere, indoors or out. This workout is a quick circuit of 9 exercises and can easily be completed in 7-10 minutes with some breaks between exercises.
Or...
Go outside for 30 minutes to an hour of activities of your choice! Go for a walk, snow shoe, bike ride, build a fort, shovel some snow for your parents... whatever you like!
This is going to be a little bit different. I think the best way to do the Grade 9 material is going to be journal based. Daily, I will continue to post options for you folks to stay active, but at your age, you are all a little bit more aware of the physical activity that gets you going! You know what you like, and what you are able to do. So what I'm asking is for you to keep a daily physical activity journal. You can do it a couple of different ways. You can keep and electronic copy (word document) where you simple write a quick paragraph detailing the physical activity you completed that day. You should detail what you did, and how you felt before and after you completed your activity. (later I will post a 2 week journal outline). Another option is to create a new instagram page specifically for your activity journaling. You can make daily posts recapping your daily activities!
Again, I will post daily options, but the main thing is for you to get active everyday! Whether is a walk, a run, an at home workout, a daily yoga video, whatever you can do with regularily, DO IT!!
Today's options can be the above posted workout video (the guy is great!), or a 30 minute walk with your family!

I have attached a 2 week daily activity log to get you started as well.

Here is a great daily workout video channel on youtube. The instructor posts new workout videos everyday Monday to Friday. The workout runs for approx. 30 minutes each day, and all of the movements can easily be done in the house.
Or....
Go for a 20-30 min family walk outside. Don't underestimate the physical benefits of getting outside for a walk in the fresh air everyday!

I have also attached a 2 week activity log. This can be edited and saved each week,

Get outside and run 3-5 laps around your house! If you have snowshoes, go ahead and use them to make it a bit harder! If you can't get around your house, do some sprints to the end of your driveway and back to your house until you feel your heart rate rising!
Or....
Take part in a simple 10 minute guided mindfullness meditiation/relaxation session. I will post a link below to help guide you through, but if you have another way you like to calm yourself down or relax, feel free. These are stressful times, and keeping you anxiety down is more important than ever!

Good morning everyone! Welcome to day one of home learning! My plan is to post the school wide weekly challenge every Monday morning on this page.
The challenge for this week is to build an indoor or outdoor obstacle course for your family using household/outdoor items!
Your obstacle course can combine elements of running, walking, throwing, climbing, balancing, and everything in between! I encourage everyone to send me pictures or videos of your family completing the weekly challenge throughout the week. I am working on a system where the pictures or videos can be posted and the one with the most likes/shares/comments by the end of the week is eligible for a weekly wellness prize (stay tuned for details!).

Be creative, stay active, and HAVE FUN!!
