·        J’aide mon environment en jetant mes déchets dans la poubelle. (I help my environment by throwing my garbage in the trash.)

·        J’aide mon environment en utilisant moins de produits. (I help my environment by using less products.)

·        J’aide mon environment en utilisant les mêmes produits plusieurs fois. (I help my environment by using the same products several times.)

Math:

·         counting to 100 forwards & backwards

·         counting by 5’s and 10’s to 100

·        mental math: addition and subtraction (up to 18)

(etc) and addition facts.

ToTo help your child to achieve greater success, here are a few suggestions you can use as a guide: 

 

French:

·          Que manges-tu au souper? (What do you eat for supper?)

·         Je mange… du poulet, du riz, des carottes… au souper. (For supper, I like to eat… chicken, rice, carrots… etc.)

·         Comment restes-tu en bonne santé? (What do you do to live a healthy lifestyle)

o   examples:

o   Je reste en bonne santé quand je mange un bon petit-déjeuner. (I stay healthy by eating a good breakfast)

o   Je reste en bonne santé quand je mange trois repas par jour.(I stay healthy by eating 3 meals a day.)

Math:

Les devoirs (homework) April 9th- April 12th

·         Math:

o   Je peux compter par 5: write in the middle of the flower the number needed in order to count by 5’s from 5-100.

 

o   Table de 100: Students have a 100 chart to help them practice counting by 5’s to 100, 10’s to 100, count forward by 1 to 100, backwards to 100-0. (practice this for the next few weeks)

o   It is fine if you wish to break this up (i.e.: one week focusing only on counting forward etc.)

 

·         Comptines: Read lyrics to “Brigitte Baleine”

o   Gesture: make a closed left fist creating a “thumbs up”, next move your thumb up and down

o   Song: Brigitte Baleine

·         Reading: Students will have one book to read several times throughout the week.

·         Continue listening to French songs
