·                    Addition activity sheet

·         Practice addition/subtraction

·                    Practice one more than, two more than and one less and two less

·                    Counting by 5s

·         Comptines: Read lyrics to “Pierre Ponda”

o   Gesture: lightly blow on your fist

·         Reading: Students will have two books to read several times throughout the week.

 

To help your child to achieve greater success, here are a few suggestions you can use as a guide: 

 

The class will be discussing what activities they enjoy doing during the spring.

·         Qu’est-ce que tu aimes faire au printemps? (What do you like to do in the Spring)

·        Que portes-tu pour… (jouer à la balle)? (What do you wear to play ball?)

The class will also be discussing examples of living/nonliving things.

·         Quelles sont les choses non vivantes dans la classe/dans la ville?(What are the non-living things in the classroom/in the communuty?

Examples 

o   La chaise est une chose non vivante(The chair is a non- living thing.)

o   La poubelle dans la rue est une chose non vivante(The garbage can outside is a non-living thing.)

 

·         Quelles sont les choses vivantes dans la classe/dans la ville?(What are the living things in the classroom/ in the community?)

Examples:

o   Le poisson rouge est une chose vivante dans la ville(The goldfish is a living thing in the community.)

o   L’arbre au parc est une chose vivante dans la ville. (The tree at the park is a living thing.)

·         Quelle est la différence entre la chaise et le poisson rouge? (What is the difference between the chair and the goldfish?)

·                    Qu’est-ce que tu aimes faire en été? (What do you like to do during the summer?)

o    En été, j’aime … (faire de la bicyclette avec mon papa.) (During the summer, I enjoy going biking with my dad.)

o   Gesture: place both hands up in the air everytime they hear the sound “ill”

·         Review:  one more/ one less than a given number, two more/two less than a given number up to 20. (un de plus/deux de moins, deux de moins/ deux de moins) (example: 20 à 21, 22, 19, 18)

o   Gesture: open your mouth wide and say "nnn nnn" (like you were catching a snowflake)

o   Song: Nicolas Nounours

·         Reading: Students will have two books to read several times throughout the week.
