· Practice addition/subtraction (flashcards work great! They are available at the Dollarstore)
· Comptines: Read lyrics to “Guillaume Gorille”
o Gesture: place both hands up in the air everytime they hear the sound “ill”
o Song: Guillaume Gorille
· Reading: Students will have two books to read several times throughout the week.
To help your child to achieve greater success, here are a few suggestions you can use as a guide:
The class will be discussing what activities they enjoy doing during the spring.
· Qu’est-ce que tu aimes faire au printemps? (What do you like to do in the Spring)
· Que portes-tu pour… (jouer à la balle)? (What do you wear to play ball?)
The class will also be discussing examples of living/nonliving things.
· Quelles sont les choses non vivantes dans la classe/dans la ville?(What are the non-living things in the classroom/in the communuty?
Examples
o La chaise est une chose non vivante. (The chair is a non- living thing.)
o La poubelle dans la rue est une chose non vivante. (The garbage can outside is a non-living thing.)
· Quelles sont les choses vivantes dans la classe/dans la ville?(What are the living things in the classroom/ in the community?)
Examples:
o Le poisson rouge est une chose vivante dans la ville. (The goldfish is a living thing in the community.)
o L’arbre au parc est une chose vivante dans la ville. (The tree at the park is a living thing.)
· Quelle est la différence entre la chaise et le poisson rouge? (What is the difference between the chair and the goldfish?)
