History 113

Students wrote their map of Canada and the continents test today. If you missed class, please be prepared to do it at lunch tomorrow.

If you have not finished the section 1 and 2 questions from the Industrial Revolution chapter, please do so tonight. We moved on to section 3 today and we only have one more section and then the chapter is done.

I also handed out the map of Europe today. The test for this will be on Friday.

English 9 - Assessment Prep and Exam Prep

For the remainder of the week, students will finish up their required reading comprehension packets and then you may use the class time to prepare for your other exams (Math 9 and Science 9/Canadian Identitly 9 - whichever exam you have). So please come to class prepared to work on your exam prep for the rest of the week. We will be correcting your reading comprehension packets on Thursday, so please be sure to have all of these finished up by then.

English 112 - OMAM Life-sized Portraits

Students were assigned their groups today for the final project for OMAM. Every group made a list of materials they need and decided on Thursday as the day to bring these in to class.

We will dedicate Thursday and Friday as class days to work on these. Tuesday and Wednesday of this week will be dedicated to exam prep. Students will work on reveiw from the novel study and the short story unit. This will be enough prep for you as the exam mainly consist of reading comprehension and writing - writing focused on some short answer questions from the OMAM novel study.

The English 112 Exam is Tuesday, January 26.

Grade 9 - Exam Notes

Students took home their "Permission to Leave After Exams" note yesterday. Please return these to me ASAP as they need to be handed into the office BEFORE exam week.

History 112 - Exam Outline and Review

We have finished all of our required units. I handed out the exam outline and review work yesterday. Students started working on these in today's class. I have attached all the handouts to this note. Students will watch a film on the Cuban Missile Crisis Monday and Tuesday of next week and then the remainder of the week will be dedicated to exam review. Please come to class prepared to workmon any exam review you may need.

The exam will be written January 28 at 8:30.
