What an exciting day!  We spent the morning at M.V.H.S. doing the High Elements Course.  We each took a turn climbing up a ladder, then using "staples" to climb the rest of the way until we were 25 feet high.  Then we had to walk across a catwalk or a cable to the other side and back.  Finally we had to drop off and be lowered down by Mr. McKinnon or Mr. Pinder. This afternoon Mrs. Lori Brophy came to our class to teach us the fine art of calligraphy or "beautiful writing."  Check out our pictures of fun things we have been doing!

It is hard to believe that we only have 6 weeks of school left, and only 4 Mondays!  This Friday we will be travelling to Miramichi Valley High School to the High Elements course.  Students will need to wear comfortable, athletic clothing and shoes. Next Tuesday, we will be having our unit test on Weather.  We will be reviewing all this week for the test.   Have a great week!

We have had such a fun past few days!  On Friday afternoon, Colleen Barry was here to do some fun dancing with the students outside.  On Tuesday of this week, we had the Blast Off for the Mango "Go for 42" program.  Our entire school met in the gym to hear from Mango representatives and sponsors of the program.  After, we all went for a walk.  Grades 3-12 walked to the Bartholomew Road and back, approximately 3 km.  This morning, we all had a treat in the gym.  Mr. Mason won the "Teacher Torture" campaign, which meant that a student from each grade got to throw a pie in his face.  Alex Jardine was the lucky student from Grade 5.  Mrs. Sturgeon was the lucky teacher that got to throw a pie at Mr. Mason.  Please check out the Photo Gallery to see pictures.  As teachers have meetings for the next 2 days, students will have the rest of the week off.   Mme Jen

On Thursday, April 21st, our classroom lights stayed off, and we used the Smart Board sparingly.  This was done to raise awareness of global climate change. On Wednesday of this week, students were asked to wear green to raise awareness for organ and tissue donations.
