French Revolution will be Tuesday, October 18. All students received their test outline today so they have lots of time to prepare.

Most students are ready to start typing their autobiographies, so we will be heading to the lab on Tuesday to do so. Those not quite there yet, will use the first bit of class to finish up.

We finished the notes for the French Revolution. Please read the primary sources on pages 594-595 in order to prepare for tomorrow's class.

We discussed the questions for "Lamb to the Slaughter" today. Then we moved on to the next story, "The Ambitious Guest".

Homework - complete the vocabulary for "The Ambitious Guest" and then read the story.

We finished the notes for section1 - please get those from someone in class if you were not here today. We then began reading section 2 and we will finish this on Monday due to the walk-a-thon tomorrow afternoon.

Students are working on their new short story, Lamb to the Slaughter. I have uploaded the story along with the vocabulary words and the questions. Students completed a short quiz on their reading of the story, we corrected the vocabulary and read the story aloud in class today. Students will continue working on the questions in class tomorrow.

The in-class book report we had scheduled for tomorrow's class has to be moved to Monday due to the walk-a-thon. So students have a few more days to prepare the report :)

Students are still working really hard on their autobiographies. Many students have moved to the editing section of the draft.

We began the class reading chapter 18 section 1 and discussing the various topics. Students then worked on the assigned homework.

HOMEWORK - please complete the Content Vocabulary on page 576.

HOMEWORK - creative assigments will be collected at the beginning of class tomorrow.

Students continued working on their autobiographies today. Many have moved on to the editing step where they are editing their work using the 6 traits of writing. We will continue this work tomorrow.

HOMEWORK - students are encouraged to read from their novels for 20-30 minutes in order to prepare for the in-class book report on FRIDAY.

We finished watching the end of the film on Catherine the Great. We then began discussing chapter 18 - The French Revolution.

HOMEWORK - Please read pages 576-580 for homework tonight.

I have extended the due date for this assignment. It will now be due Wednesday, September 28.
