We read "The Doll's House" aloud today and corrected the vocabulary from the story. Students then worked on the Social Commentary assignment.

We finished the presentations for the scandal prjects. Then we began the new story.

Students worked on their journal topics for Dead Poets Society. Most students finished these in class today. We will start the persuasive pieces on Monday. Those not finished the jounals will finish them up on Monday.

Students worked on their Scandal Projects today in class. These are due on Monday; we will have a presentation day with everyone sharing their final projects with each other in class.

I can not wait to see your final masterpieces :) 

Hint, hint...treats are always welcomed on presentation days ;)

We began  the class correcting questions 2 and 3 from page 603. We discussed the research paper on Napoleon and the MLA requirements for this. Then the students watched a documentary on Napoleon.

I have attached all of the handouts with this post and I have also included some important web links. You will need to reference these for the remainder of the course.

**Please pay attention to the Work Cited page of the sample paper. This is the new piece of information we discussed today. You will be required to complete a Works Cited page for all of your papers from now on, so this will be a very valuable resource.

We will be working on the scandal projects tomorrow, however, we do not have a computer lab to go to so, if at all possible, you should save your work to your USB and bring in your own laptop. Please keep in mind that you will not be able to access the internet so if you have information you need from the web, save it to your USB so you will be able to use it.

We finished watching Dead Poets Society today and students began their work for this film. I have attached the first part of the assignment below. This is not to be completed for homework as we will be working on it in class.

We began watching "Dead Poets Society" today in preparation for our next writing piece. If you were not in class, I have uploaded a link so you can watch the first 50 minutes of the movie so you do not get behind. This can be found in the attached link.

I also attached the assignment that will follow the movie.

The Scandalous Project is due on Friday. Students worked on it today. Wednesday and Thursday will be computer lab days as well, but tomorrow will be a work day in the classroom.
