We began our unit on poetry this week. Students are working on a self-directed packet. Any new material is discussed at the beginning of each class and the students are then set to work on the day's assignments. If, however, they finish the daily work and they feel comfortable, they may move on to the next section in the packet. This gives the students who are working at a faster pace the opportunity to advance while the others are working on the expected daily workload.
