The father of a boy shot and killed by a fellow student in 1999 will be speaking about bullying to students of District 16 at James M. Hill Memorial High School. Rev. Dale Lang will be pointing out that empathy and compassion are so important and that people must care about others, even those that are tough for us to like. Reverend Lang’s son Jason was an innocent victim of an angry, bullied 14 year old boy at W. R. Myers High School in Taber, Alberta. Since then the Anglican priest has spoken about bullying to numerous teachers’ conventions, church groups and in over 350 high schools.  Students are leaving the school at 8:35 and set to return at 11:15 a.m.
