They 2012-2013 Student Loan Applications are now available online ! Go to www.studentaid.gnb.ca to find the application. If students would like a paper copy please see Mrs. Sobey. If you have any questions or require any help with your student loan application please do not hesitate to ask.

This bursary is awarded to a student of Irish Descent. Although all students of Irish descent may apply for this bursary, first priority will got to a student whose parents or grandparents are members of the Miramichi Chapter. To apply, students must submit their name, as well as, their parents and grandparents names and forward the information to MRS.SOBEY. If no students of Irish descent apply the bursary will be given to a second student at a participating school. The value of this bursary is $250.00.
Applications are available in the grade 12 homeroom or from Mrs. Sobey.

Any current grade 10 or 11 students who are interested in becoming a Boomerang Leader for the 2012-2013 school year need to submit their name to Mrs. Sobey by Friday, May 11th.
Each applicant must go through an interview process. You will be asked a few questions pertaining to your reasons for your interest in this program. Represented at the interview will be the Boomerang Advisors and 2 previous Boomerang Leaders.
Please see the attached sheet for more details of the qualities a Boomerang Leader should have and the required dates and events that leaders are required to attend

WOMEN would like to offer a $50 graduation prize. Qualifications for this prize are that the female student must be attending a post secondary institution and must be the daughter, granddaughter, sister or niece of a WOMEN member.

Norm Rogers from the University Programs on the Miramichi will be here on Tuesday, May1st during flex to speak with any interested students.
Even if you have not applied please come and find out more information about the program and how you can take your first year of university on the Miramichi.
Meeting will take place in the conference room.

Dalhousie University is coming to Miramichi on Wednesday, May 9th at 7pm at the Rodd Miramichi River. This will be a great opportunity to find out more about the university and its services, course selections, registration and residence as well as chat with a current student. This event will be different than the ones students might have seen in the fall or in February becuase it is geared toward students planning on joining Dal this September! Please go to dal.ca

It is getting that time of year where we are starting to plan the graduation program for June 21st, 2012 !
If you have received a scholarship and would like it printed in the graduation program please bring in the information and Mrs.Sobey will make a copy to be included in the program. You have worked hard filling out those applications and your efforts deserve to be recognized !
Information can be brought in any time starting now and up to the week of graduation.
Keep working hard, you only have a few more weeks to go =)

Six (6) scholarships of $1000.00 each. Due June 22nd, 2012.
Students must be entering college or university in the Fall.
Academic achievement and extra curricular/community involvement will be considered.
Two (2) scholarships are for children of employees of Northumberland Co-Op.
Four(4) scholarships are for students who live in the Northumberland service area. Two(2) of these 4 are for students who will be attending NBCC in the Fall.

Applications are now available for this scholarship to any students who are entering a University Nursing Program. The completed application needs to be forwarded no later than May 25th, 2012. This scholarship is valued at $500.00. Applications are posted in the grade 12 homeroom and in the guidance office.

This bursary is due June 30th. It is awarded on a point sysytem with special consideration given to Ladies Auxiliary members children and grandchildren, then to veterans and their grandchildren.
