Remembrance Day

We will be having out annual Remembrance Day service on Wednesday, Nov.10th at 10:00 am in the gym.  Parents and members of the community are invited to attend.  Also, remember that there is no school on November 11th as it is Remembrance Day!

Parent Teacher

       I just wanted to remind the parents that there will be Parent Teacher on Thursday evening (Nov.4th) at 6:00-8:30pm.  There will also be Parent Teacher on Friday morning (Nov. 5th) at 8:30-11:30am. This means that there will not be any school for students on Friday. I look forward to seeing all the parents.

Roots of Empathy

ROE Roots of Empathy Grade 3L was so excited on Friday, Oct.29 we had our Roots of Empathy baby, Baby Cohen visit our classroom with his Mom.  We discovered some things that Cohen could do (smile, almost roll over and talk with baby sounds)  and some things that he was unable to do YET!!!  We are so excited to have Cohen, his Mom and Mrs. MacDonald come into our class to do this exciting program with us.  We will see Cohen again next month!

Halloween

Happy Halloween There will be a Halloween party in the cafeteria from 6:30-7:30 for Grades 3-5.  Admission is $3.00. Yummy treats such as hot dogs, pop and candy apples will be sold. On Friday, Oct.29th my class can wear their costume and bring treats if they wish. Happy Halloween!!!!

Reminder

I just wanted to reminder my students and their families that there will not be any school on Thursday, October 7th and Friday, October 8th because teachers have curriculum days.  Also, we do not have any school on Monday, October 11th because it is Thanksgiving Day.  Have a great extra long weekend with your families and eat lots of turkey and pumpkin pie!!!  See you all on Tuesday again!!

Terry Fox Walk

Terry Fox Walk   Our school is going to be participating in the Terry Fox Walk on Monday, September 2oth at 10:30am. We are inviting parents to come and join us.   This is the 30th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research.   Please have your child return their sneaker (colored and cut out) and bring a toonie to school on the day of the walk for the Terry Fox Foundation. Thank you in advance!

Cross Country

runnerCross Country Several students from our class have decided to join Cross Country this year.  They had practice last night and then have a big race tonight in Nelson.  There will be races held each Wednesday night from Sept.15th to Oct. 20th (rain or shine).

Welcome Back!!!

Welcome Back!! It is that time of the year again.....September.....Back to School.  I am very happy to announce that I will be teaching Grade 3 this year.  I am excited to get my classroom all set up for Tuesday to meet all my new students.  I just know that we will be learning lots of new things and having lots of fun.  Have a restful weekend.
