Merry Christmas Baby Sydney!!

On Monday afternoon, we had a wonderful visit with Baby Sydney.  Sydney was wearing a cute Christmas outfit and she was very happy to spend time with us (no crying).  Our class gave Sydney a present and cards.  Hannah brought us delicious homemade cookies.  A fun time was had by all!  Merry Christmas Sydney, Hannah and Mr. Johnston from Mrs. Sobey, Mrs. Lyons and Grade 2 and 3 L.

A Pocketful of .......................

Today we wrote poems like Shereee Fitch.  We took Sheree's poplular poem A Pocketful of Rocks and made our own poems.  Some examples were a pocketful of snakes, grizzly bears, gummy bears, apples.  The children had a lot of fun writing these silly poems.  We also read our poems to Grade5.

Sheree Fitch

Sheree Fitch was here to visit our school.  She entertained the childfen from k-5 for one hour on Tuesday.  She read her poems and stories.  All the children loved this time!

Introducing Baby Sydney

On Tuesday, our class had our first visit with Hannah, Mr.Johnston and Baby Sydney.  We were so excited to meet her and to see all the fun and exciting things that she can do.  We are looking forward to the next visit!

Roots of Empathy

Our Grade 2/3 class will be having Roots of Empathy this year with Mrs. Melanie Sobey.  Mrs. Sobey came today to introduce us to the program.  She is hoping we will meet Baby Sydney and her Mom this week!!  We are really excited!!
