Volleyball: Mrs. Cortes is starting a volleyball clinic for grade 4 and 5. Interested students were given a sign-up sheet that should be returned as soon as possible. I encouraged all students in my class to give this a try, volleyball is a school sport that is played in middle school. This is a great opportunity for upper elementary to learn the basics and maybe try something new. Any students who did not sign up and who may be interested please let me know and I will get a sign up sheet from Mrs. Cortes. 

Guided Reading: Please read your guided reading book at least 3 nights this week. Don’t forget to put it back in your agenda each night. Students have the same book as last week.

Math Homework:

Comparing fractions:

Grade 4: color then compare using > < or =.

Grade 5: If denominator is the same look at numerator. The larger the numerator the larger the fraction.

If numerator is the same, look at the denominator. The larger denominator is the smaller fraction.
