MLA Guidelines - Owl Purdue

Posted: October 21, 2016

We began  the class correcting questions 2 and 3 from page 603. We discussed the research paper on Napoleon and the MLA requirements for this. Then the students watched a documentary on Napoleon.

I have attached all of the handouts with this post and I have also included some important web links. You will need to reference these for the remainder of the course.

**Please pay attention to the Work Cited page of the sample paper. This is the new piece of information we discussed today. You will be required to complete a Works Cited page for all of your papers from now on, so this will be a very valuable resource.

Please finish questions 2 and 3 on page 603 for tomorrow.

We will be working on the scandal projects tomorrow, however, we do not have a computer lab to go to so, if at all possible, you should save your work to your USB and bring in your own laptop. Please keep in mind that you will not be able to access the internet so if you have information you need from the web, save it to your USB so you will be able to use it.

REMINDER - these are due on Monday

We finished watching Dead Poets Society today and students began their work for this film. I have attached the first part of the assignment below. This is not to be completed for homework as we will be working on it in class.

The Take Your Kid to Work forms are due NOW! Please bring them in ASAP. We need to know where everyone is going. If you need a form because you "can not find your first one", see Mrs. Breau or your homeroom teacher.

Dead Poets Society

Posted: October 18, 2016

We began watching "Dead Poets Society" today in preparation for our next writing piece. If you were not in class, I have uploaded a link so you can watch the first 50 minutes of the movie so you do not get behind. This can be found in the attached link.

I also attached the assignment that will follow the movie.
