Dear parents, For our end of year field trip, the 2 Grade 5 classes will be going to Camp Sheldrake on Monday, June 11th.  On that day, students will spend the day rock climbing, canoeing, doing arts and crafts, archery and games.  Students will need to bring their lunch and drinks, sunscreen, insect repellent, a towel and change of clothes and both sneakers and sandals. (They cannot do the rock climbing without sneakers, and will need sandals for the canoeing)  The cost is $15 per student. Please have this paid by Thursday, June 7th.  If there is any problem with the cost, please send a note with your child and we will work something out.  We want every child to have this wonderful experience. We had a fantastic trip to Burke's Diner this morning.  Earlier in the week students ordered from me in class where we had a mock restaurant set up, complete with waitress wearing an apron!  Students spoke in French while at the restaurant, and really enjoyed each other's company and of course the food!  The girls at Burke's were so good to the students, and delivered hot meals in a very short amount of time, for an excellent price.  We will definitely be going back with other classes!
