Math- We went over the review from last Thursday. Answers are attached. I also handed out an extra practice sheet for placing/identifying fractions on a timeline.

French-Students did an assingment. See attached

Language Arts- Spelling list for the week. 1-Change 2-Decide 3- Different 4-Eight 5- Slow 6- Himself 7- Morning 8- Problem 9- Question 10- Wrong

We had our last week spelling words test.  We also worked on creating our ideas for our first story.

Science- We continued with matter.  We specifically looked at the properties of solids and the changing of states.

Math-We reviewed topics from September to present. See attached

French- The students played a game of "Bataille navale" Battle ship with french clothing vocabulary

Language arts- Students answered questions from chapter 3 of Harry Potter. They also corrected the grammar worksheets from yesterday.

Science-We continued on the topic of matter.  Specifically being able to identify if something is a solid, liquid or a gas. See attached.

Math-We had our unit test for measurement of distance and capacity.  We also started a review from our fractions unit. See attached

French- We did the sound of the week "eu" and played FLORA

Level 2 Module 4 (nbed.nb.ca) "J'ecoute et je parle"- Dialogue 1 et 2 and "Je fais des activités"- All activities

Language Arts- We read chapter 3 of Harry Potter. Here is a link to read online for free.

We also looked at the composition of a sentence (subject and predicate) and if a sentence was complete or incomplete.  See attached for information and worksheets

Social Studies- We talked about archaeologists and what they do.  We completed a reading comprehension about an archaeologist named Sarah. See attached.

Math- We reviewed for the test tomorrow.  See attached

French-We went over questions we should know how to answer in French. "Qu'est-ce que tu portes aujourd'hui?" (What are you wearing today) "Qu'est-ce que _____Madame Cortes_________ portes aujourd'hui?" (What is ____________wearing today?) "Qu'est-ce que tu portes quand il fait chaud/beau/frais/froid?" (What should you wear if its hot/nice/cool/cold outside) We also completed a worksheet based off the season and what we should wear during each season. See attached.

Language Arts-We completed the point of view worksheet for chapter 2 Harry Potter.  We also completed a worksheet on punctuation.

Science-We continued our notes and discussion on matter and its three states. See attached.

Math- We started with a Valentines Day puzzle sheet. Then we worked on sheets in class to review converting distance measurments (km, m, cm, mm) and capacity (L and mL). See attached sheets.  Unit test Wednesday. *On the test there will not be any conversions that give you decimals*

French- We finished the valentines day activity we started Friday. 

Language Arts-We completed a sheet on symbols of punctuation.  We also did some Valentines Day worksheets. *See attached

Math-We completed a worksheet on converting mL to L and vice versa. See attached

French- We went over the following questions orally. "Qu'est-ce que tu portes quand it fait beau?", "Qu'est-ce que tu portes quand it fait chaud?", "Qu'est-ce que tu portes quand it fait frais?", "Qu'est-ce que tu portes quand it fait froid?" (What do you wear when its nice out, hot out, cool out and cold out) We also did a short writing in our books.

LA- We had our spelling test. Words or the week were: About, Because, Could, Down, Should, Together, Which, Doesn't, Watch, Beautiful.

Students finished up art project (tree) and button for the contest.

We went to the computer lab to play Dreambox

Math-We worked on textbook questions and a worksheet today.  Textbook questions Pg. 149 # 1-4 Pg. 153 # 1-4. See below for both.

French- We read "Les saisons" N2M4 in FLORA and tried the activities in that section.

Language Arts-Answered Harry Potter questions on Chapter 2.  Continued with personal narrative topics.

French- Qu'est-ce que tu portes quand il fait beau? (What do you wear when its nice out?) Qu'est que tu portes quand il fait chaud? (What do you wear when its hot out?) We also did a short writing describing what someone in the class was wearing see template in attachment below

Language Arts- We started to brainstorm ideas for our first piece of writing.  A personal narrative.  See attached for information

Social Studies-We had a discussion on how we learn about the past.  We also spoke about artefacts that we would leave behind today for someone 200 000 years into the future.  See social studies for our ideas discussed.
