Hello Grade 2!

 

What a great start to the school year, Grade 2 is where it’s at! We have been having fun and learning new routines this week and students are getting back into the groove.

A few friendly reminders:

 

·        Picture Day is Monday September 9th.

·        Please sign and return all forms.

·        Students are spending extra time outside this year, so do your best to dress for the weather.  

·        Please make sure your child can easily put on and take off their own shoes and outdoor clothing.

·        Student Fee is $20 and can be paid to the office or to me in class.

Welcome to Grade 2!

Welcome to another school year, I am very excited to be your child’s teacher and can’t wait to see everyone on Tuesday. This teacher page is where you will find info, pictures, and news for our class.

 

A Few Reminders:

 

·        September 3rd is the first day of school for all students.

·        September 9th is Picture Day.

·        No Cafeteria this week.

·        Student Fee $20.

·        Please check the bus planner and update your child’s information.

·        Dismissal time is 2:50pm for all students K-12.

·        If your child is being picked up and not taking the bus home, please be sure to send in a note or contact the office.

·        Students need indoor sneakers for gym class (Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri)

 

Outdoor Time:

New this year, students will be spending more time outdoors. Please be sure to dress for the weather and feel free to pack an extra grab and go snack for the afternoon.

Students in K-5 are not permitted to bring cell phones to school.

 

Reading:

Please read your guided reading book at least three nights this week.

Smashball will be on MONDAY and WEDNESDAY next week from 3:00-4:00pm. This will be the last week as they gym will not be available.

Please arrange all drives prior to arriving to school. We asked that parents send a note with their child letting the homeroom teacher know that they are staying for practice.

Relay For Life Blackville and Blue and Gold Day 

Blackville school is trying to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society by participating in Relay for Life on May 24th. Here is the link for those who would like to donate. Paper donations were sent home last week. 

There will also be ice cream for sale for a price of $4 - please see atached below for details (this is a student venture)
