Students have begun the short story unit. They have read the first story, "The Lottery", completed and corrected the required questions and finished a reading test for the story. The story is uploaded below.

Yesterday, students began working on the true story of Soraya M. Students began watching the film adaptation of this horrific story as it pairs well with Jackson's short story, "The Lottery", as it discusses a traditional ritual of stoning which is seen in both stories. The film can be found on youtube. I have uploaded the link to the film on the teacher page. Students will complete a three part assignment that goes along with this film. I will upload these l towards the end of the week.
