The week of May 30th to June 5th has been declared Disability Awareness Week by the Premier's Council on the Status of Disabled Persons. Blackville School is one of many schools in District 16 who are participating. The theme is "Yes We Can" and the aim is to promote support for persons with disabilities in New Brunswick. Disability Awareness prizes are being presented at our district elementary schools and Blackville Elementary will be participating in the "Walk and Roll" event on Friday June 4th.
This year's annual District 16 Track and Field Meet at JMH will be held on June 23rd this year. The buses will be leaving the school directly after our morning announcements as the meet will start at 9:00 am, and finish at approximately 1:00pm. Parents are more than welcomed to come and cheer on their children. We ask that all students are well supplied from home with sunscreen and water for this day as many years before have been extremely hot. In addition to the sunscreen and water students must also bring a bagged lunch for this even because there will be no canteen available.
