Rescheduling of English Language Proficiency Assessment-----Grade 9.
The Writing Component of the English Language Proficiency Assessment will be completed on Monday and Tuesday.
On Monday the Grade 9's will begin the Writing Part I at 11:45.
On Tuesday the Grade 9's will begin the Writing Part II at 11:45.

What a beautiful day at the rink! We had sunny skies, great students, free hot chocolate but best of all the Premier of New Brunswick! The students of Blackville enjoyed skating around the Blackville rink with Mr. Alward and asking him a few questions that they had on their minds. He was great with the students and we thank him for taking time out of his busy schedule to come and visit with our community and share his knowledge with the high school students. It is days like this that students will remember for a lifetime. Thank you Mr.

students can say that they skated with the Premier of New Brunswick? Not too
many, but the students of BHS can brag about this after Monday
morning!

from 9:30-10:30 the grade fives and sevens will be going to the outdoor rink and
take an hour to skate with the Premier and MLA Jake Stewart. What an
opportunity!Then, the Premier and MLA will return to the school to speak to selected High School classes.The students and staff are anxiously awaiting his visit! Let's show Mr. Alward what great students come from the "Home of

The two grade five classes were very fortunate today to have a very
special visitor. Paul MacKinnon from the District's MOVE (Miramichi Outdoor Venture Experience) program visited the
students to give them an in-class lesson on paddling. Mr. MacKinnon was
pleasantly surprised to see many students already having a strong background
on the subject!

We were recently informed by the Minister of Education that our last day of school, Thursday, December 23rd will now be a half a day for students. Please be aware that the students of Blackville will be dismissed on this day at 11:30 am and the buses will be departing shortly thereafter.In the new year, school will resume for regular classes on Tuesday, January 11th.The educational community of Blackville School would like to wish you and yours the best over this holiday season and we look forward to see you all in the new year!
We are excited to demonstrate our band and choir on a special night in the gymnasium to celebrate the sounds of the season. Come and enjoy our showcase of student talent on Monday, December 20th, at 7:00pm. In the event of a storm, this performance will take place the following evening Tuesday, December 21st at the same time in the evening. Hope you can come and enjoy this festive occasion with our school!
As the Christmas season approaches the cafeteria elves have been very busy preparing a big celebratory feast! Tuesday, December 14th will be the day for the Christmas dinner in the Elementary School. They will be serving roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, peas and carrots, mild or juice and dessert all for $5.25. Wednesday, December 15th they will be serving the same meal, but to the Middle and High School students at a cost of $6.00. Just a reminder that this dinner is for students and staff only.
