Please be advised that report cards will be going home with all students on Tuesday, November 2nd. Parent-Teacher interviews are being held on Thursday, November 4th between the hours of 6pm and 8:30 pm and again on Friday, November 5th from 8:30am until 11:30am. As always, there is no school for children on Friday due to these interviews. If you cannot make any of these times and still wish to meet with your child's teacher please feel free to contact your child's teacher for a time that better suits your schedule.

Students of BHS, please come to the school to join in on the spooky fun and celebrate Halloween!
This Thursday night dress-up your little spooks and come to the cafeteria for some scary fun! From 5-6pm it is open to pre-schoolers through to grade 2 students, then from 6:30-7:30pm for grades 3 to 5. Admission is $3 and there will be lots of candy apples, cotton candy and other yummies for sale when you are there.
As well, the middle and high school students get to dress-up and burn up the dance floor at their Halloween Dance from 8-11pm. Remember no masks or weapons are allowed.
The students involved in the Boomerang Project at Blackville School would like to thank Mrs. McCormack and her Culinary 110 class for the delicious spaghetti lunch which they prepared on Friday, October 15. See the image gallery for pictures.
Auditions for High School drama will be held this week (September 27th-October 1). The sign up sheet is in Mr. Carter's classroom and the auditions will be held after school. All are welcome to come and try out for this fun and educational school club!
You are invited to attend the MVHS AARAO Career Expo, taking place the evening of October 5th from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at the Miramichi Valley High School gym. Over 40 universities, colleges, and private schools from the Atlantic Provinces will be there with information and to answer any of your questions and concerns. Please take advantage of this great opportunity!
October 12th to October 15th are the dates set for Kindergarten Registration at Blackville School. If you have a child who is born in the year 2006, please drop into the school between 8am-3pm to register your child for the 2011-2012 school year. Registration for kindergarten will require that you show two pieces of identification for the child, which can include a birth certificate, baptism certificate, or medicare card. If you know of other children born on this year in our school zone, please pass along this important message. Thank you, and we look forward to meeting with you.
Our Student Council would like to announce that they are having a Penny Drive to raise money to buy a new sound system for our school. Usually our school does not participate in these sort of things, but we suffered a huge loss of this expensive system at our last high school dance. This system is used by all grade levels (Remembrance Day, Hallowe'en, School
Dances, Choir, Drama, Christmas Program, and the list goes on). It is going to
cost approximately $1500.00 to replace this system. We need everyone to support
Wednesday, September 29th, Blackville Eagles are hosting the elementary cross country run for the district. Please come out and cheer on our Eagles as they race through the one kilometer trail in fight for first place.Congratulations to the Blackville Boys for winning "Top School" in the district from the cross country race in Nelson.
