The annual Elementary Christmas Concert is scheduled to be on Tuesday morning, December 18, 2012.If we have a weather day on Monday or Tuesday, the concert will be on Wednesday.
This year the concert will be in the cafeteria of the school.We will be doing the entire concerttwice on that morning in an effort to accommodate people.The first sitting will be at 8:45 AM and the second sitting which is a repeat of the first concert, will be at 10:15 AM.Please choose the time that is most convenient for you!!
Both concerts feature all K-5 students, the grade 9T Music class and the Jazz Band.
Please note that students at Blackville School are not permitted to attend the concert as classes are still in session!
We know that young people are the future of our two official languages. The website www.2tongues.ca has been developed to promote those two official languages, while recognizing the challenges. Last year, the site underwent a radical transformation, and you are invited to rediscover it.
The 2013 Blackville School calendar is now available. The full colour calendar features the homeroom classes in different themes for each month. Calendars are 10 dollars each and are available at the school office.
Blackville School will be presenting a Christmas Choir Concert entitled, “An Evening Of Christmas Song”, on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Renous.This concert replaces the usual Choir and Band Christmas concert that has been held annually in the gym. Tickets are $10 per person and are now available at the school office.The proceeds from this concert will go to the school’s Breakfast Program and Choir Programs.
The Local 679 Blackville Air Cadet Squadron is doing a hat and mitt drive at the Santa Claus Breakfast this year. Please bring any gently used or new hats or mitts to the Santa Claus breakfast being held on December 8 at the Father AA McKinnon Hall. There will Cadets located at the breakfast with a container to drop any items in. The hats and mitts that are donated, will be given to the Blackville School and used by our children.
