Elementary Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 18 in the school gymnasium.
Track and Field Day for Grades 3-5 will be held at JMH on Wednesday, June 19. Students are reminded to bring lots of water, snacks and a lunch for the day. Studetns should also remember to wear sunscreen and fly repelent.
Athletics New Brunswick would like to invite kids from your school to participatein teh annual Hershey Tracjk and Field Competition. This is a program for boys ad girls aged 9 to 14. The focus is to promote physical fitness, participation, friendship and sportsmanship. The free regional meets will be held in June at the following locations:
The Blackville Home and School will be hosting a Bike Rodeo on Saturday, June 8 from 10 am to 1 pm. The rodeo will be held in the Blackville School parking lot. This event is for children up to age 14. All children must bring a bike and helmet, as well as, be accompanied by a parent/guardian. See the attched poster for further details.
On Saturday May 25th the Blackville High School Student Council and Towne Ford will be hosting a Drive One 4UR School event. It a fund raiser that will allow us to raise up to $6000 for our school. All you have to do is fill out a short survey and take a test drive in one of the many vehicles provided by Towne Ford. Each test drive is worth $20. All you need is your drivers license number, your civic address and you must be 18 years of age, only one test drive per household. The test drive event will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the school. Also, the 2014 graduation class will be having a BBQ and selling tickets on a bench planter. Thank you and come out to support two great groups.
The Theatre Arts 120 Class received ten recognitions at the annual High School Drama Festival. The cast of fifteen travelled to Fredericton last Thursday and Friday to perform. The play Check Please 2/3 by Jonathan Rand received two Special Adjudicator's mentions for "Outstanding Ensemble Environment" and Outstanding Attention to Detail." There was also a recognition for "Outstanding Production." Seven recognitions for "Outstanding Supporting Actor" went to Shawn Hallihan, Nicole Sullivan, Nolan Donovan, Valeja Birnbach, Marissa Donohue, Josie Coulter, and Jackson Hallihan.
