Tips for Keeping Lunch Safe:

Always wash hands before preparing or eating lunch. This is the one of best ways to prevent food spoilage and contamination.Keep cold foods cold.     
Keep hot foods hot.
Clean all lunch boxes, thermal bags, plastic utensils and containers in hot soapy water. DO NOT re-use plastic wrapping and bags.
Wash all fruits and veggies under cold running water.

All Across Canada!

The entire staff at Blackville School wish to say a big "THANK YOU" for all the great treats sent our way this past week, and especially for the beautiful lunch prepared for us on Tuesday!  Your kindness and generosity is greatly appreciated.  You made "Teacher Appreciation Week"  a pleasure!

Dietitians of Canada recommends:
Children 1 to 8 years old get 6 cups of fluid per day.
9 to 13 years old girls should get between 8-9 cups per day.
9 to 13 year old boys should get between 10-13 cups per day.

Tomorrow morning our K-8 students will be celebrating Flag Day in the gym at 9 a.m.

Fun in Preparation.

  • Let children help make their own lunch.
  • Children can also help with grocery shopping and suggestions for lunch items.
  • Include stickers, notes or cartoons in lunch box to brighten up their day!



2013February Fest Pins are on sale now! The cost is $2 and can be purchased in the office. Also the pins will be sold at the Hypnotist show.  This is a great keepsake for the First Annual February Fest.
