There are 4 scholarships valued at $1000.00 each.  To be eligible you must be a son/daughter of a member of CUPE local 2745 and can be entering any post-seconday institution. You can get an application from me.  In addition to the completed application you need to provide a copy of your acceptance letter as well as a transcript of marks.   Deadline is May 16, 2014.
There are 3 scholarships.1. Memorial Scholarship.  This is a $1000.00 Entrance Scholarship. Applicant must be entering their first year of study in a University program related to agriculture or the dairy industry. 2. Dairy Farmers of New Brunswick Scholarship.  This is a $1000.00 scholarship and is available to students entering any year of a technician or technology diploma or certification program relating to agriculture or the dairy industry at college. 3. George B. Whalen Memorial Scholarship.  This is a $1000.00 scholarship for students who are in their second, third or fourth year studies in a University program related to agriclture or the dairy industry. All 3 scholarships require a 300-500 word essay concering the applicants future plans and how they relate to the agricultural industry.  Two letters of recommendation and a transcript of marks. Deadline is June 13, 2014.  If you are interested you can get an application from me.

There are 4 bursaries offered through the Credit Union. 1. Harry M Daley - Valued at $3000.  This scholarship is for all of New Brunswick. It needs to be mailed to Fredericton. Deadline is April 19, 20142. J.James Sturgeon Memorial Bursary.  Valued at $500.  Student must be a member of the Blackville Credit Union to be eligible. Deadline is May 31, 2014 and is to be dropped of at the Credit Union in Blackville.3. Harold Ross Memorial Bursary. Valued at $500.  Student OR parent(s) must be a member of the Blackville Credit Union to be eligible, as well as provide proof of acceptance to a University or College.  Deadline is May 31, 2014 and is to be dropped of at the Credit Union in Blackville.4. Craig Thibodeau Bursary.  This bursary is decided on by the staff at the Blackville Credit Union.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have a parent/guardian who is an active member of the Beaubear Co-op.  It is open to any student entering any post-secondary institution in the fall.  Deadline is May 1, 2014.
There are two scholarships valued at $500.  To be eligible the student must - Be entering any University in Atlantic Canada or for any student who will be attending NBCC in the fall who is enrolled in a two year program. - A son/daughter or legal wards of members and deceased members, or members in good standing, of a local union affliated with the New Brunswick Federation of Labour.If you are interested in applying you can come see me.  Deadline is June 30, 2014

This prize is valued at $500.  To be eligible for this prize the applicant must be: - Entering post secondary studies in a field related to enviornmental protection and education. - Are a son/daughter of members and deceased members or, members in good standing, of local unions affiliated with New Brunswick Federation of Labour.A 500 - 1000 word essay is required as well as two letters of recommendation.If you are interested in applying you can come see me.  Deadline is June 30, 2014

This award is open to all students who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis or enrolled in high school at the grade 12 level. There are two NBFL Solidarity Awards valued at $500 each and are offered annually (in NB).  The objective of the award is to encourage greater public awareness and understanding of the value of workers and society.  Therefore there is a 1000 word essay required for this award. Deadline is June 30th.  If you are interested in applying you can come see me.

This scholarship is worth $1,000 and is renewable for four years to a maximum value of $4,000.  To be elgible to apply you must be entering a full-time undergraduate degree program as well as meet the following criteria.           1. A member or dependent of a member, of a member cooperative of Co-op Atlantic.          2. Full-time or Part-time employee or dependent of a full-time employee, of Co-op Atlantic or one it's members cooperatives.

This scholarship is available for students who  are pursuing a recognized post-secondary undergraduate program of study relevant to the Tourism Industry in New Brunswick.   There are two $1000.00 scholarships and they are awarded annually and are based on performance and involvement in the Tourism Industry.  You can get an application in the guidance office.  Deadline to apply is April 30, 2014.
