We have had such a fun past few days!  On Friday afternoon, Colleen Barry was here to do some fun dancing with the students outside.  On Tuesday of this week, we had the Blast Off for the Mango "Go for 42" program.  Our entire school met in the gym to hear from Mango representatives and sponsors of the program.  After, we all went for a walk.  Grades 3-12 walked to the Bartholomew Road and back, approximately 3 km.  This morning, we all had a treat in the gym.  Mr. Mason won the "Teacher Torture" campaign, which meant that a student from each grade got to throw a pie in his face.  Alex Jardine was the lucky student from Grade 5.  Mrs. Sturgeon was the lucky teacher that got to throw a pie at Mr. Mason.  Please check out the Photo Gallery to see pictures.  As teachers have meetings for the next 2 days, students will have the rest of the week off.   Mme Jen

As I am sure you have heard, we are working on castles for our Medieval theme in Social Studies.  They are coming together very nicely  The students are very artistic and creative, much more than I ! Congratulations to Kassidy Lyons who placed 3rd at the District Spelling Bee, and to Stephanie Hayne for placing 1st at the Provincial Archery competition in Bathurst on Saturday. We all want to wish Jamie Vickers and Kassidy Lyons good luck at the district spelling bee this afternoon.  We are very proud of you girls! On Friday of last week we began our class spelling bee.  On Monday of this week, he held our final competition.  Congratulations to Kassidy and Janet who will be representing our school at the District 16 Spelling Bee at Croft Elementary on April 8th.  Way to go girls!
