Multiplication Facts
When working on multiplication facts, it is important students know these facts easily and quickly. It should only take 3 seconds for a student to answer. Although multiplication strategies are important and can be used when “stuck”, it is important that grade 5 students know up to 9x9 automatically with skip counting etc.

Please be sure to send two clean face masks to school each day. During the orange phase students will be wearing masks for the majority of the day in the classroom as well as when they are playing outside. Over the last two days some students have needed to change their mask and did not have a second mask with them.
It is also important that students have a water bottle with them each day as they may find themselves needing more water than usual.
The orange phase will be an adjustment for students but they are a resilient and cooperative group and with a positive outlook we will get through this time together.
