Tuesday's Winter Carnival Activities: tomorrow is Jersey Day, the Timberwolves will be visiting and students can skate at the Blackville rink from 7-9pm (weather permitting).

6M - Read 20 mins, Comprehension article on Best Ever Thick and Chew Chocolate Chunk Cookies, is due Wednesday. Remember to provide 10 questions/comments along the sides of the margins and answer questions in sentence form unless otherwise stated. Library tomorrow

Winter Carnival: Monday is "Tacky Tourist" Day. If you can remember to bring in an empty 2l pop bottle for your homeroom that would be much appreciated. We need 5 per class.
6M - please return your parents email address information sheet ASAP. I am still missing quite a few.
7D - Last day to pass in your "good copy" of your persuasive piece. Complete your reading comprehension sheet on "The Rising Tiger. You will need to pass this in at the beginning of class.

Winter Carnival
Feb 4-8
Monday:
· Students dress up in “tacky tourist” clothing
Tuesday:
· Students dress in their favorite jersey
· Skating Party – This will be held at the Blackville Rink. Grades 6-12 come from 7 to 9 pm.
Wednesday:
· Crazy Hair Day
· There will be a hypnotist coming to the Blackville School from 7 to 9 pm, the cost for K-8 students is $5. (Storm date will be Thursday)
Thursday:
· Hospital Day, students can dress up like their favorite medical person
Friday:
· PJ Day
· During the week, students will be participating in winter carnival games during lunch hour.

6M/F - Read 20 minutes, complete introduction and first paragraph in the body of your expository piece (We will be finishing the draft in tomorrows class).
7D - Read 20 minutes, complete introduction and first two paragraphs in the body of your persuasive writing, library tomorrow.
7W - Art projects are due on Thursday of this week. Tomorrow will be your last day to work on these in class. Make sure you have all materials needed.
