Today we watched half the documentary on Craig Keilburger  (Social  Entrepreneurship: Free the Children).

Students wer asked to take notes as they watche the documentary. (If you were not in class today then you have to get the notes from a classmate).

Unit 3 test results were handed back today in class, they will take the test home tomorrow since we have a few students that did not write due to attendance.

In class today we started Unit 5 Percent, Ratio and Rates.  See the attached notes that were handed out in class today. Students MUST study these notes.

We went over homework questions in detail and then moved onto a leeson on BEDMAS using FRACTION.  See the attached lesson for the notes and examples.

Homework:  Page 155     #4(do out the questions showing all work), #5, #6 (SHOW All Work)

Today the students played a game that illustrates the definitions of "Tradegy of The Commons".  We watched a video and discussed the environmental issues on Easter island.  Class ened with students reading a Fracking article and completeing 2 woeksheets.

Today we divided fractions using the rule "Flip and Multiply".  See the notes for examples and methods.

Class/Homework:  Page 139  #8, #9, #10(ab), #11(a,b), #12(a,b), #14, #15(a,b), #16 

                           Don't estimate for any of the questions (JUST use the rule Flip and Multiply for all) REDUCE all answers
