Remember to do an outline to plan out where to place the information, pictures, diagrams etc before you glue them onto the bristle board. NEATNESS IS KEY!   Tomorrow will be tweaking, finishing typing, retrieving pictures and getting all of the visuals finished as well as practicing for the presentation.   Collaborate and work together!!!

Science week is here!!!....Let the investigating begin.A few hints:Make sure that you know what to test and that your statements and ideas are written out clearlySummarize your project in a paragraph so that I can help you translate it in French. This also helps to narrow down ideas and makes it easier to explain to others.Do some research at home and bring in all of your materials for classTuesday will be a presentation on smart technology so this will help you to step up your projects and make them more interactive.Last but not least: Do not eat your experiments during class :)Keep up the good work !!!
Grade 6: We will be finishing up the draft copies of our l'automne picture and good copies will be due on Friday Nov 12th. You will present it orally to the class :) See me during flex for corrections.       Grade 7:  With the same group members for the camp ados, you have to choose a physical activity and write about the safety, equipment etc. Working on it during class but use this time wisely! Grade 8:    NOVEMBER 23rd---> Interview is dueChoose an older family member or neighbour and interview them on the style of clothes they wore during the 20th century. Also bring in a picture of the person interviewed. See me for help translating or if you have any questions.Do not leave this until the last minute! http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/youth/sub.cfm?source=activities/youthcorner/war... Art War Posters Art is a powerful tool that can often reveal the deeper feelings and truth of a situation than a photograph can. Since the days of the First World War, Canada has had artists create works that capture the efforts of our soldiers, sailors, air force personnel and people on the home front as they serve and sacrifice in the cause of peace. The men and women who took part in these Canadian war art programs explored many different elements of our country's war efforts, from battle scenes from the front lines to the labours of women in factories back home in Canada. Many of these war artists would go on to become prominent artists after the wars, from members of the Group of Seven like A.Y. Jackson and Frederick Varley after the First World War, to Alex Colville after the Second World War. Why not check out the Canadian war art made over the past nine decades by browsing samples below? How is the war art from different eras similar? How are they sometimes different?
