Hello students and parents, I (Mrs. Underhill) am back!We discussed some of the important aspects of grade 9 English today, especially the importance of preparing for the Literary Assessment in January. We talked about the importance of reading and therefore, the students now know that they are expected to read at least 20-30 minutes every night. This is a daily homework activity and WILL help with their reading comprehension.HOMEWORK - 20-30 minutes of reading time.

I'm BACK!! (Mrs. Underhill)I handed back some of the marked work done to date. Please get these signed at home tonight. WORDS OF WISDOM - Some students are showing signs of having some difficulty with the material and/or not apply themselves to the best of their ability. THIS is the time to make some changes. Please do some self reflection and think about where you want to go when you leave high school and make the necessary changes for your successful futures. In the very near future, I will be making some contact with some parents of the students who are showing some "red flags" thus far.
