This week, we will be looking at “long VCC - ild, -old, -ind, -olt, -ost”. Typically, VCC patterns are closed syllables because the consonants “close in” the vowel. The vowel typically makes it short sound.

This week, we will be continuing with double digit addition (with regrouping/carrying). We will continue to review addition strategies (friends of ten doubles, doubles + 1, +2, bridging through ten) and add using “normal/traditional” method.
