Homework: 

Literacy:Read three nights this week. Return books Friday. 

Math:Concept review sheet. Due Friday. 

Math Homework:This week, students have another review sheet for homework. Students will trace and write their first and last name. Some who are working on number formation will also have numbers 1-10. There are three math concepts on this week’s homework sheet: counting coins (nickels), counting base ten blocks and basic subtraction. Homework is due on Friday.

Literacy 

In literacy this week we are reviewing open and closed syllable words.

Open syllable words (long vowels, door is open)

we – hi – go – me – re

Closed syllable words (short vowel, door is closed)

wet- him – got – met – red

Math: 

This week, we will be continuing with double digit addition and subtraction (without regrouping/carrying). We are going to review addition strategies (friends of ten doubles, doubles + 1, +2, bridging through ten) and add/subtract without bast 10 blocks or manipulatives.
