All students in Grades 3-5 can participate in the cross country meets. There will be four meets all which start at 4pm! Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from each meet. All races are 1 km [students are encouraged to practice at home].Students will be given a BHS T-shirt at the beginning of each race which MUST be passed in at the end of EACH meet. There will be an elementary soccer practice, Thursday, September 17 from 3:15-4:15Uniforms and schedules will be passed out at the end of practice. Games will start next week.
Next week is Hunger Awareness week, and we have been asked by the Blackville
food bank if we could do a food drive. Please ask your students if they are
able to donate 1 non-perishable food item, which will be greatly appreciated.
This will run next week and collected on Friday.
AARAO Fair
On Wednesday, September
23 all grade 12 students will be travelling by bus to the AARAO Career Expo
being held at MVHS from 9:00 – 11:00. Representatives from colleges and
universities from across Atlantic Canada will be available to provide
information on their programs, scholarships, and services.
Students will have a chance to walk through the information booths and
then to attend individual sessions with institutions of their
choice.
MVHS will be hosting the
AARAO Career Expo evening on Tuesday, September 22nd in the MVHS gymnasium from
Reminder to all Grade 4 and 5 students who signed up for elementary soccer.There will be a practice Tuesday, September 15 from 3:15-4:15. Students are to meet in the elementary open area and wait for Mr Mason.The schedule will be handed out and posted once it is finalized. year.
· The grade 6
and 9 students will also come to
school on Tuesday, September 8. The grade 6 students will take part in their
introduction to middle school with the WEB program and grade 9 students
will take part in Grade 9 orientation to high school.
