Our last week of Intensive French was a busy one!  Many of our students and teachers missed time this week due to colds and flu, me included.  Despite feeling under the weather, we got a lot done.  On Tuesday, Wedneday and Thursday, the students of 5JH were interviewed individually by an employee of the Dept. of Education.  He took each student on their own and interviewed them on a wide variety of topics, to be able to assess their oral proficiency.  He told me that he was very impressed with my students.  Way to go 5JH!  Also, students completed day 1 of a written Provincial Assessment in French.  Since we had so many students out this week, I am going to complete this assessment on Monday. On Wednesday, grades 5-12 were treated to a presentation by 2 people from the "Free the Children" organization, which tries to encourage young people to make positive changes in their community and globally.  On Friday, we had a lot of students missing due to illness, the Croft cup and interventions.  Even so, we had a very relaxing day to finish off our IF program.  We had some free time in the computer lab, cleaned out our desks and rearranged the class. Have a great weekend!
