Home Learning Plan
Mon. April 27th – Fri. May 1st
Read 20 minutes silently everyday.
Read and respond to this week’s Common Lit assignments (one fiction, one non-fiction). Please try to make notes or highlight what the instructions suggest you should focus on for each reading.
Complete ANY 2 of the attached options for Quickwrites this week (I have one listed for every day and while you are free to do it every day for 5 minutes (go for longer if you wish…but don’t go past 15minutes), aim for 2. Feel free to share these with me via email, Microsoft Teams or on our weekly call. I encourage you to share your writing with somebody at home too.
Try to complete two IXL.com Language Arts activities (if you need a login, just email me or ask when I call for a check in this week).
Quickwrites | |
Monday | Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” Write a narrative about a time when you did something you thought you could not do. Be sure to include specific details so that a reader can follow your story. |
Tuesday | Write about someone who has no enemies. Is it even possible? |
Wednesday | You have a chance to go back and completely re-do an event in your life. What is it, and how to you change it? What is the outcome? This can be a real or fictional event. |

Friday | Write a biography of one of your parents or grandparents. Make it interesting, but factual. |
