One of the students, Laura Sturgeon, in our class wrote a poem for the Mother's Day Contest through LIFE Radio Station. It was too good not to share! Way to go Laura, I hope you win the prize for your wonderful mom!
My Mom's a Hard Worker
My mom's a lean mean working machine,
And if you don't mind I'll tell you,
All the things she does for me.
She washes the dishes and scrubs the floor,
I can't count, there is so much more!
My mom works vigorously day and night,
Not just for me, but my brother too.
She must be so tired at the end of her day,
Selflessly she sacrifices herself to her family.
My mom honestly and truly amazes me!
Every night before I go to bed,
She gives me a big bear hug,
And sweet gentil kisses on my forehead.
I love my mom and she loves me!
It's easy to see how lucky I am to be ME!
