St. Mary's University will be presenting a Webinar next Wednesday, November 17th, starting at 7pm.  It will be a general presentation on Saint Mary’s University that will last roughly 45 minutes to an hour, and the remainder of the time will be a Q&A.

The Terry Fox Humanitarian Award is valued $28,000.

To be considered for the Award, applicants must meet be:

  • In good academic standing.
  • Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.
  • Students graduating from secondary (high) school or students completing their first year of CÉGEP or students who have completed secondary (high) school
  • Involved in voluntary humanitarian activities (for which they have not been compensated).
  • Planning to or are already studying towards their first university degree or diploma at a Canadian post-secondary institution, or entering their 2nd year of CÉGEP in the upcoming academic year.

Deadline to apply is Dec 1, 2021

The previously scheduled virtual presentations from STU and NBCC have been resheduled.  

STU will be on October 20 during lunch in Mrs. Brophy's room.

NBCC - still waiting for a date.

Scholarship is valued at $2500

Eligability Criteria 

- Grade 12 student.

- Must intend on continuing their education at a Maritime post-secondary institution (college or university) in a field that will enhance health research or innovation.

Application must include a cover letter, essay, letters of recommendation, and transcripts. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2022 and notification of the winners will be made in June.  If interested there are applications avaibale in the guidance office!
