Welcome Back

Geocaching in the park

Tomorrow we were supposed to go to the Blackville Park and go Geocaching with Mr. Savoy, but due to the weather forecast we are cancelling the trip.  However, we are rescheduling for Monday, June 8th.  Please have your child wear sneakers and bring a bag lunch!!!

Winter Carnival

BHS Winter Carnival Week…February 16- February 20 K-12 students will be celebrating Winter Carnival Week from Monday, February 16 to Friday, February 20. The following are the scheduled dress-up days, as well as, some evening activities: Monday—Canada…Red and White Day Tuesday-“Black”ville Day…Wear All Black Tuesday Evening- Movie night for Elementary students [K-5] starting at 5:30 pm. Wednesday-Hick Day             Thursday-Throwback Day Thursday Evening- Skating Party at the Blackville Rink form 6:30-8:30 for all studentsFriday—Pajama Day

Valentine's Day Cards

On Thursday (Feb 12th),  if your child would like to bring Valentine cards for the class, they may do so. Also, if your child would like to bring a treat to share with the rest of the class that would be fine. Please remember not to send any treats that contain peanuts. Roots of Empathy!

We are very excited to announce that we will be having Baby Lexi Johnston as our Roots of Empathy baby this year.  We had our first visit with Baby Lexi on Tuesday, Dec.1st.  I will post some pictures very soon.

Parent Teacher Interviews

There will be parent teacher interviews on Thursday evening (Nov 20th) at 6:00 to 8:30pm and Friday morning (Nov 21st) at 9:00 to 11:30am.  Hope to see all my parents.

We Won the Pita Pit Party!!!!

We won the Pita Pit Party!!!!  Our pumpkin Michelangelo had the most donations for the SPCA.  Thank you to everyone who gave donations to help us win!

Movie Night

Elementary Movie Night. October 8On October 8th the home and school will be having a movie night for the elementary grades. The cost is $5 and that includes admission into movie, popcorn and a drink. K-2 movie is from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The movie showing is Spooky Buddies.  Then grades 3-5 movie is from 8:30-10:00pm. They will show the movie Paranorma.  Please come out and support out home and school.

Terry Fox Walk

On Wednesday, September 24th grades k-5 will be having a Terry Fox Walk.  We are asking each child to bring $1.00 to support cancer research.  Thank you
