Congratulations to all of our Blackville students who participated in the Miramichi Regional Music Festival last week.  The vocal duet of Cassandra Waugh and Ashlyn Moody, our Blackville Elementary Choir, our Blackville School Girls’ Choir, and St. Raphael’s Youth Choir all received Gold Seals from festival adjudicators.  The Blackville Elementary Choir and the Blackville School Girls’ Choir were chosen by the choral adjudicator to represent the Miramichi area in the school choir category at the New Brunswick Provincial Music Festival which will be held this year at Mount Allison University in Sackville in early June.  Our choirs will be making a recording of their two festival pieces to forward to provincial choral adjudicators.          Miss Frenette and all of the choir students would like to thank Mrs. Margaret Craig who did such an excellent job of accompanying all of our choirs at the festival.  We would also like to thank all of the parent volunteers who traveled to and from the festival with us on the bus, yours assistance was greatly appreciated.  Thanks also to our bus driver, Marshall Arbeau, for patiently transporting us to and from the festival as well as the final Concert of the Stars last Friday evening.
