The students in grade 8 were given the opportunity to cut out their skateboards using a template provided during their shop class with Mr. Grattan.  A graphic designer was brought in to help the kids design images for their skateboards.  The students were then given the opportunity in their physical education class to ride their skateboards.  Paul MacKinnon used the format used with the “Skate Pass” program with the students to make the experience as safe and enjoyable as possible while challenging them outside of their comfort zone.  The students really enjoyed the experience and we will look at continuing this activity in the future.  Check out the link below to see more pictures of this project. http://asd-n.nbed.nb.ca/gallery/create-skate-blackville-school
