Homeroom 8DU

 

There will be a European Handball Tournament next Thursday to raise money for the grad class. Grade 8’s are permitted to enter a team of 6 and the cost is $ 5.00 to play. Students may also watch at a cost of $2.00. Team money must be in as soon as possible and if students plan on watching (from 2:00pm – 3:00 pm) $2.00 must be in by Tuesday.

8DA PIF (MON, TUE & THU)

 

Today we began a research project on an extreme sport. Students had the entire period to answer research questions and had more than enough time to complete it.  We will begin a power point presentation in the lab on Tuesday. Monday we will be reading a book about skate boarding.  

 

 

 

8DU PIF (MON, WED & FRI)

 

We will be starting a research project on Friday, students will have the period to answer questions about an extreme sport of their choosing.

 

7G PIF (WED, THU, FRI)

 

We finished up our advertisements today and will present them to the class tomorrow. Wednesday we will be starting a new unit on publicity. Students were given homework in PIF yesterday to find an advertisement on youtube that they would like to show and discuss with the class. They should be prepared to do so tomorrow in the event we finishing presenting early.

 

7G Science

 

We have two STEM FAIR projects left to present tomorrow. I will post pictures of the finish products this week. We will be back to normal classes starting tomorrow and students may take home their poster boards.

 

We will continue with the earth’s crust and begin looking at natural disasters (earthquakes, volcanoes etc.). Any students absent tomorrow Friday March 23rd will be responsible for getting Friday’s notes. They will be available below on my teacher page or from a classmate.
