Animal Welfare agencies across Canada have declared 2011 as “Year of the Cat”.  A network of agencies will come together to discuss how governments, animal welfare groups and individuals can help improve the lives of Canada’s millions of cats.  Discuss and research Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and how it could be used in your community.   Write a persuasive essay in which you support TNR or discuss another program that could help control the growing feral cat population.   2. It is clear that our weather patterns are changing in New Brunswick.  Our province is not used to seeing flash floods, rain warnings and high winds in December.  Weather patterns are changing both at home and across the world.  Research the latest weather related disasters across the world in the past year and write an informative essay describing the changing patterns in our weather.   Good luck to all who participate!
