Monday    - Dress as your favorite Character.

 

Tuesday  - Backwards Day 

 

Wednesday- Blue and Gold Day. Wear something Blue and/or Gold

 

Thursday - Jersey Day.  Also dress for the weather as we

 

 will be going outside for some fun outdoor winter activities.

.

Friday- PJ Day. Wear your PJ's and bring your favorite teddy bear!!

What a Week!!!!

With school being cancelled on Monday and the low attendance on Tuesday, we didn't have much time to work on our spelling. Therefore, we will have our spelling test on Monday instead. This will give everyone lots of time to prepare.

 

On Wednesday, everyone looked great in pink. What an awesome job showing support for bully awareness!!!  

 

Thursday was the 100th Day of School!!!

 

Thanks to everyone who brought in projects to share with the class!!

Grade 1S Updates

We've had a  fantastic week!!!  This was National Anti-Bullying Awareness Week. Students, read books, colored posters and had a special presentation to raise awareness about bullying. A big thumbs up to everyone who remembered to wear something blue or pink on Friday.  We also celebrated the "Caught You Caring Campaign". Students who were 'caught  caring' about someone this week had their name in for a  prize draw on Friday. MANY of our students were caught caring!! Way to go!!!

 

We also had a wonderful presentation, sponsored by the Blackville Home and School, called Oceans Wild.

This was a great presentation of artifacts and information about what lives in the ocean. This goes along well with our You and Yor World unit on Living and Non-Living Things .

 

 

Parent Teacher Interviews

Reminder:  Parent teacher Interviews are scheduled for Thursday night from

6:00pm to 8:30 pm and again on Friday morning from 8:30 am until 11:30 am.

We had a fantastic week in grade 1S!!

We worked on letters Ss,Mm,Bb and we wrote our first spelling test of the year.

Tests will be in the homework on Monday. Please sign it and return it the next day.

Parents will find a news letter in their child's bookbag this week. There is lots of important information there so please take a few minutes to read through it.

Don't forget to wear something comfortable on your feet Monday . We will be going on our Terry Fox Run at 10:30 in the morning!!
