Students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 are asked to bring in their PENNIES for Cancer Research! On Monday, November 19 Mme. Tobin-Forgrave, Student Council President Marissa Donohue and Grade 7 student Abby Donovan will be cutting their hair for the Cancer Society.
How do you get your child to eat in the mornings?
1. Serve realistic portions.
Children’s stomachs are smaller than ours.
If there is too much food offered at breakfast it will be difficult for them to finish. Serve smaller nutritious meals and snacks throughout day.
One serving from a food group can be divided up. For example, half a Food Guide Serving of Meat and Alternatives can be served at two different meals such as one egg at lunch and half a chicken breast (1 oz) for dinner.
Students from K-12 will be allowed to wear costumes on Wednesday, Halloween Day. For the most part it is probably best that students come with their costume on in the morning. Students need to be reminded that they have to dress appropriately so they can participate in all classes including phys ed. Students must not have anything covering their face and must not bring any accessories (Swords, guns, etc).
Just a reminder that the Halloween dinner is Monday at the Blackville school for students...Hamburger and Fries, Milk and dessert...$5.00 for elem....$5.50 for middle/high school
