Congratulations to Laura Jardine for winning the Grade 9/10 Post Intensive French Oratory Contest in Moncton over the weekend. BHS would like to acknowledge both Laura Jardine and Ashlyn Moody for doing a great job representing our school at this competition.
Isabella Hallihan, Jules Keenan and Hayley Underhill attended the ASD-N Oratory/Spoken Word competition on April 26 at Superior Middle School. All three girls did a great job representing our school. Way to go girls!
Amber Walls was awarded First Prize in the Recyclable Art Contest that Mrs Manderville's 3/4 class entered for Earth Day!She received her prize today and her project will be on display at the Miramichi Home Show!Way to Go Amber!! We are so proud of you!!
K-5 Students at
Blackville School will be participating in a Spell-A-Thon. Students will be collecting pledges and all
money raised will be go towards the Elementary Field Trips!!! All pledges are due by April 25th. The top pledge earners will be awarded the following prizes:
1st place-iPad Mini
2nd place-
Nintendo DS
3rd place-
Mountain Bike
There will also be
prizes for the class with the most pledges. All students who have pledges will
get ice cream and top spellers will have their name put in a draw for a $50
movie night. On April 30th
Miramichi Hoops will once again be offering spring leagues for mini aged
players. Boys Spring league for all boys currently in grades 3 to 5 will begin
on Wednesda, April 16 at Gretna Green. Spring Leagues will run from 6 PM until
7:30 PM. There are 6 sessions being offered with the last one going on May
21st. No basketball experience necessary. There is no cost for anyone registered
with Miramichi Hoops. New members pay $20 for registration to cover insurance
costs.
There will be a meeting on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 7 pm for all 2014 graduates and their parents/guardians. The meeting will be held in Lori Brophy's classroom. Please make every effort to attend as a lot of information about the upcoming graduation events will be given.
